We are now operating without a Spiritual Director and Vice President.

Three of our permanent members are Senior Citizens. It is becoming difficult to carry out our Vincentians Duties

In our present situation we will not be able to undertake any extra activities. Till we get new members we will continue to:

  • Hold our regular meetings
  • Visit our cases
  • Pay school fees
  • Pay ration money to our cases
  • Continue with our food sales on the 13th of every month from May to Oct
  • Continue with collecting scrap.
  • Continue to distribute second hand clothing and house-hold items.

In December our conference put up a Christmas Hamper appeal. Our benefactors and parishioners responded very generously and we collected an amount of Rs. 1,49,500/-

On 23rd December we visited our cases and gave them Christmas Cakes and cash of Rs. 3,000/- per family. 15 tickets bought for the Parish Christmas party for the poor children.

On the 7th of Jan we distributed  clothes and other household items to the poor families of the parish.

On the 21st of Jan we visited St. Vincent’s home for the aged where we spent several hours with the inmates. They were treated to their favourite fish curry, rice and fried fish for lunch.  Dessert was carrot halva , piece of Christmas Cake and a selection of fresh fruits.

Before lunch was served the inmates played several rounds of Tombola.

After lunch the inmates were given gifts of each envelopes, biscuits packets and a torch, all in all they seems to have an enjoyable afternoon.

We hope in 2018 we get more folks to join us so that we can continue our regular duries and initiate more projects to help the poor.
